Denver, the capital of Colorado, is an American metropolis dating to the Old West era. Larimer Square, the city’s oldest block, still features landmark 19th-century buildings. Museums include the Denver Art Museum, an ultramodern complex known for its indigenous works collection, and the mansion of famed Titanic survivor Molly Brown. Denver is also a jumping-off point for skiing in the nearby Rocky Mountains.

NEWH Product Design Competition Scholarship




NEWH, Inc. is offering the $4,000 NEWH Product Design Competition Scholarship sponsored by Symmons.   This scholarship is open to students pursuing careers affiliated in the Hospitality Industry in Interior Design or Architecture. The winning applicant will be honored at HD Expo on May 3, 2017, in Las Vegas, Nevada.   The scholarship recipient is required to attend the award presentation with paid airfare and lodging provided.  Scholarship submission deadline is January 9th, 2017.

  • Must be currently enrolled student attending an accredited college
  • Must have completed half of the requirements for an undergraduate degree or be enrolled in a graduate
  • Must show financial need and have eligible outstanding debt for tuition, books or supplies at time of
    award in November 2016
  • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must be pursuing a career objective in hospitality interior design or hotel management
  • Must haveparticipated in an industry internship program or similar position
  • Scholarships are open to international students

Students do not need to be a member to apply however, students and full-time educators can join NEWH for free. The Fall Market 2016

Monastically streamlined or layered to perfection, the minimal vs. maximal debate takes center stage on October 6 as PDC’s Fall Market 2016 presents top A&D tastemakers deliberating reverence for and interpretation of these two opposing style philosophies, and their current, evolving relevance influencing interiors, architecture and product design.

Throughout the Market event, design talents favoring spaces spare to exuberant include Justina Blakeney, Hagy Belzberg,Jean-Louis Deniot, Peter DunhamRyan Jackson, Richard Landry,James Magni, Mauricio Oberfeld, Ron Radziner, Kendall Wilkinson and Ron Woodson in conversation with renowned design and lifestyle editors including The Hearst Design Group‘s Newell Turner, Design Media Partners’ Michael Wollaeger andLuxe Interiors + Design‘s Lisa Bingham Dewart.

Additionally, nearly 100 new line introductions, open houses, receptions and showroom programs addressing topics that include collection debuts, product design inspirations, American craftsmanship, licensing collections, design/technology integration and more define the Market schedule.
