Edward Varias is a L.A. based interior designer, a design instructor and an avid traveler. He earned a bachelor’s of fine arts degree in Interior Architecture from California State University Long Beach and his master’s of arts degree in education. His thesis is on embedding phases in interior design education. Edward had worked with JS Sugita & Associates and Gensler before becoming a principal for his own firm. He’s designed numerous variety of commercial and residential interior projects which entails concept designs, FF&E designs, and construction administration.
His diverse work experiences have made him flexible to any interior design projects which include the renovation of Oklahoma City’s Will Rogers International Airport (Gensler), Beverly Pediatric Medical Group, Eric Hanan Jewels – flagship store, Princess Cruise line’s Internet Café (Gensler), and the home of Asia’s most beloved actor, Jackie Chan in Beverly Hills. Edward has been featured in numerous design publications, lifestyle magazines, and appeared on the Christopher Lowell Show for the Discovery Channel.
Edward Varias shares his passion for interior design through his lectures, seminars and workshops. He maintains his own practice – Edward Varias Design, and is an Adjunct Professor for the Interior Design Department at the Art Institute of California in Hollywood and at UCLA Extension.
