What students are saying:
In regards to Digital Presentation II: 2D CAD/AutoCAD
“Knows EVERYTHING about Autocad and very thorough.”
“Good class, it really prepares your for the industry.”
“Luis was a great instructor and he was extremely knowledgeable. He was very helpful except for the fact that he could not help me with converting what I learned in class to my MAC. Therefore, I found myself struggling every week to reteach myself the lessons.”
In regards to Interior Detailing & Building Systems
“This is the best arc+id course I have taken. The quarter was structured well and provided tremendous insight into building systems and detailing. The homework load was very heavy, but I am happy that I did every assignment as it gave me knowledge and a resource guide for the future.”
“Excellent, detailed lectures. I really appreciated the amount of critique time available for each individual student. Great handouts.”
In regards to Interior Architecture Studio II
“The class format made perfect sense and offered a lot of opportunities for personal growth in design.”
“It was a challenging class that forced [me] to be really creative and explore my abilities that I did not know about. I learned a lot about new materials while preparing material schedule for my project. I think it was very helpful to see other student project and learn from your classmates as well.”
General remarks about the instructor:
“Thank you for a wonderful AutoCAD experience. This is only my 2nd quarter at UCLA Extension and it’s because of teachers like you that make me believe I have chosen the right program for my Interior/Architecture education. You are an inspiration and I look forward to future classes with you.”
“I do not believe I have ever given an instructor a 9… Luis is fantastic. He is an extremely passionate, knowledgeable, approachable, and thoughtful instructor. I have learned just as much by his anecdotes as his class lectures. I wish I would have taken more classes with him.”
“As always, Luis provided a lot of helpful insights and tips. His help applied not just to our individual projects, but to the profession as well. I liked having a well-rounded instructor with experience in more than one design field.”
“I think instructor Luis is the best in this program. His knowledge, experience and teaching style was very inspiring. Also his tolerance and attitude to all of us was very fair and equal.”
