Tricia is a multi-faceted creative person who began her career in advertising and has expanded her talents into many areas beyond. She is a graduate of the prestigious New York Institute of Technology with a Masters of Art and a Bachelors of Fine Art.
Patricia started her career at the in-house ad agency of NBTY, Incorporated, a manufacturer of vitamins and food supplements. Where she worked on a myriad of different projects ranging from ads to packaging to in-store graphics. After several years of working in the vitamin industry for NBTY and then for it’s competitor Twinlab, Patricia started her own creative consulting business. Clients include Disney, Showtime, McGraw-Hill and various ad agencies in New York and Los Angeles.
Her first client was for the venerable Madison Avenue ad agency, Young & Rubicam. Where she worked on-site as an Interactive Art Director creating web graphics for major pharmaceutical accounts such as Shire and Novo Nordisk. She moved on to EMI Music Group Los Angeles in 2007, becoming the Associate Creative Director of the new artists division. Where she managed a creative team of designers, production artists and web developers.
Additionally, Patricia has been teaching in the evening at a college level for the past 7 years. Until recently has also been an adjunct professor at Glendale Community College, teaching graphic design. As of March 2016, Tricia relocated to New York City from Los Angeles. She is currently the Creative Director/Studio Manager for the Toy Industry Association in Manhattan. Professor Tricia Chin will continue to teach online at UCLA Extension.
