NEWH, Inc. is offering the 5th annual NEWH Product Design Competition $4,000 scholarship sponsored by Symmons. The scholarship is open to Interior Design or Architecture students and includes submission of a lavatory faucet design. The winning student will be honored May 2, 2018 at HD Expo in Las Vegas.
Scholarship Criteria:
Must be a currently enrolled student attending an accredited college
Must have completed half the requirements/credits for an undergraduate degree or be enrolled in a graduate program
Must show financial need and have eligible outstanding debt for tuition, books or supplies at time of scholarship award in May 2018
Must have 3.0 cumulative GPA or a current overall grade percentage of 83 – 86% or B average equivalent
Must be pursuing a career objective in Hospitality Interior
Design or Architecture
Winner must attend the awards event at HD Expo May 2, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada with airfare/lodging provided
Scholarship submission deadline is January 2nd, 2018.

The NEWH Green Voice Design Competition provides students with the opportunity to showcase their design skills while utilizing the very best in sustainable design products and practices. Our sponsors have generously donated the awards – one to the winning undergraduate student and one to the winning graduate student with airfare/lodging to the awards event at HD Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada provided.
Eligibility
-
Interior Design or Architecture students; undergraduate (in a 4-year program) or graduate students (must be enrolled in an accredited college).

Students (2) may work together on a team submission (splitting the $7,500 scholarship if awarded); each student receiving paid airfare and lodging to the awards event.

Instructors may use competition as a class project evaluating all class projects and submit no more than (5) top projects for consideration (a submittal form must be included with each project).

NEWH ICON of Industry $7,500 Scholarship Award.

NEWH, Inc. proudly announces the 13th in a series, NEWH ICON of Industry $7,500 Scholarship Award. The winner will be honored on November 13, 2017, during the Boutique Design Gold Key Awards Gala at Gotham Hall in New York City. The event is held in conjunction with HX: The Hotel Experience and Boutique Design New York trade fair and conference and is sponsored by Boutique Design Magazine. The recipient is required to attend the gala with travel and lodging provided. Applications must be received by July 15th, 2017. Awarded scholarship funds are distributed through the student’s school to be used for tuition or program approved books or supplies.

Congratulations to Angela Lee, winner of the $500 NEWH Los Angeles Founding Chapter scholarship!
Awards, Featured, Master of Interior Architecture, NEWH, News & Info, Scholarship, Success, UCLA ExtensionWe are proud to announce that Angela Lee, a student who was just admitted to the UCLA Extension/Cal Poly Pomona Master of Interior Architecture program, is the recipient of the $500 NEWH Los Angeles Founding Chapter scholarship! “It is truly an amazing feeling to be recognized by such a great organization,” Angela stated.
Angela completed the Certificate of Interior Design and whole-heartedly recommends that anyone looking to pursue an interior design education choose UCLA Extension. “The instructors are working professionals with varying backgrounds and all have a great deal of experience. I find them an invaluable resource on the realities of working in the field,” she explains, “also, firms know about the quality of designers that graduate each year.” As someone who knew she wanted to pursue interior design since her junior year of high school, Angela was ready to jump right in. “I dove in headfirst and it has been the best decision I’ve made thus far.”
