Students Interested in Advanced ArchiCAD or Advanced AutoCAD are encouraged to sign up for fall quarter! Spaces are still available and the class is being offered online, a cheaper ($655) and more flexible alternative to the “on the ground” course equivalent. These do carry the prerequisite of Digitial Presentation II and/or instructor consent.
ArchicCAD (V2555) is being taught by Georgeanna Cheung. This advanced-level course continues the exploration of ArchiCAD as a design tool. Instruction focuses on developing a wider range of presentation skills through a broader palette of rendering and animation tools and increasing facility with the tools necessary for preparing construction documents in the professional environment. AutoCAD (V2552) is being taugh by Shane Bartley. This continuation of Digital Presentation II: AutoCAD covers drawing and editing commands, drawing setup, layer control, dimensioning, symbol libraries, display commands, external references, attributes, and paperspace/modelspace. Students prepare a basic set of construction documents that include floor plans, elevations, sections, and details. For technical requirements click here.
