All week from Monday – Thursday our lovely ASID student chapter will be hosting a membership drive. If you have questions about ASID, or just want to get involved, be sure to pay them a visit on the third floor common area of the 1010 Westwood Building just outside of the elevators. They will be stationed there from 5-8 pm Monday – Wednesday and 6-7:30 pm on Thursday.
Also, on Saturday, May 1st, the new board will host their first event. In addition to the opportunity to network with prominent industry professionals (including ASID/LA Board members), the board has been lucky enough to secure Kay Wade, ASID Industry Partner, head designer of Closet Factory (and a skilled lecturer on networking), and Jeremy Ingram, the First & Hope restaurant designer to speak at this event. Hello all, we want to remind you that next week is Pacific Design Center’s West Week 2010! Keynote speakers include Mayer Rus, Vicente Wolf, Vanessa de Vargas, Roter Thomas, and MANY more. In addition to speakers you will be able to tour showrooms and check out previews of new product lines! There are also excellent showroom programs scheduled with Holly Hunt, Donghia, Schumacher, etc!
