Welcome our new Arc+ID Instructor: Tricia Chin

Chin, Patricia

Patricia “Tricia” Chin will be starting in the Fall 2015 quarter teaching the online section of Digital Presentation I: Photoshop/Illustrator.

Patricia is a multi-faceted creative person who began her career in advertising and has expanded her talents into many areas beyond. She is a graduate of the prestigious New York Institute of Technology with a Masters of Art and a Bachelors of Fine Art.

Patricia started her career at the in-house ad agency of NBTY, Incorporated, a manufacturer of vitamins and food supplements. Where she worked on a myriad of different projects ranging from ads to packaging to in-store graphics. After several years of working in the vitamin industry for NBTY and then for it’s competitor Twinlab, Patricia started her own creative consulting business. Clients include Disney, Showtime, McGraw-Hill and various ad agencies in New York and Los Angeles.

Her first client was for the venerable Madison Avenue ad agency, Young & Rubicam. Where she worked on-site as an Interactive Art Director creating web graphics for major pharmaceutical accounts such as Shire and Novo Nordisk. She moved on to EMI Music Group becoming the Associate Creative Director of the new artists division. Where she managed a creative team of designers, production artists and web developers.

Additionally, Patricia has been teaching in the evening at a college level for the past 5 years. She is currently an adjunct professor at Glendale Community College, where she teaches graphic design.

Welcome our new Arc+ID Instructor: Joanne Kravetz

Kravetz, JoanneJoanne Kravetz, IIDA, IDEC, CID #6711; BFA, UCLA. As a practicing commercial and residential interior designer, and principal of Kravetz Planning & Design, Ms. Kravetz has completed over one million square feet of commercial facilities and corporate headquarters spaces. Ms Kravetz was the Academic Department Director for Interior Design for ten years at The Art Institute of California-Los Angeles and most recently was appointed to the Leadership Corps of former Vice President Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project focusing on issues of sustainability, the science of climate change and the affects on the built environment. J.
