$1000 FEATHR Scholarship.

Arc+ID students,

Commencing in 2017, wallpaper and fabric house FEATHR will be awarding a yearly $1000 scholarship to a current or prospective arts, performing arts, humanities or design student at an accredited United States university or college.  The scholarship will be awarded based upon an essay submission, answering the following question: “How and why has a piece of art influenced your personal, educational and/or creative development.”

How to Apply

To apply for the FEATHR Wallpaper Scholarship, answer the question:

“How and why has a piece of art influenced your personal, educational and/or creative development.”

Tell us about what the piece of art was, where you encountered and what its impact has been, in the short and long term.



Essays must be 700-1000 words long, answering the question: “How and why has a piece of art influenced your personal, educational and/or creative development.”

For the purposes of this scholarship, we define art as being the visual arts, including for example: ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, photography, video, filmmaking and architecture.


To be eligible for the FEATHR Wallpaper Scholarship, you must be:

  • a legal U.S. Resident

  • either a current undergraduate college/university student or a current high school student that will enroll in a college/university in 2017

  • studying an arts, performing arts, humanities or design-based subject

  • in good academic standing with your current educational institution

You must provide proof of enrollment and subject with your email submission.  This can take the form of a digital scan of your acceptance letter, a letter from admissions or digital copy email/letter from your tutor or course leader confirming your presence on the course.

Submission & DeadlinesSubmissions for the 2017 scholarship award must be received by 1 December 2017.  Submissions after this deadline will not be considered.

Email your entry as a Word document or PDF attachment.  In the email, include your full name, age, postal address and contact mobile number.  Please also include a headshot in either PNG or JPG format.

UCLA Extension Scholarships for Certificate Students

This is the kind of information we love to share!

We just received news about this year’s UCLA Extension Certificate Student Scholarships. You MUST be a enrolled as a candidate in a program (not just taking courses) in order to be eligible. These scholarships are staff-sponsored. If you’d like to offset the cost of your education in today’s challenging economy, apply for one today! With these scholarships—funded solely by UCLA Extension staff—we recognize our certificate students as representative of all students who have helped UCLA Extension become one of the top 5 continuing education programs in the country.

Minimum scholarship awards of $500 will be granted from a total pool of $2,400. Scholarship awards may be used to offset any UCLA Extension course fees. These scholarships are not awarded based on financial need and applicants need not submit any financial documentation. In addition, there are certificate scholarship funds solely for women who are seeking to further their education through Extension Application deadline is Sun., Apr. 18, 2010, midnight.

IIDA Southern California Scholarship 2010

IIDA Southern California Chapter has announced The International Interior Design Association Southern California Chapter Student Scholarship Competition. You may enter by printing their PDF Entry Form. Applications are due February, 5 2010 with required documentation!

The 2010 Scholarship Categories are:

Stephanie Tarr Scholarship ($5,000)
more than half major units must be completed
well-rounded design experience
Illustrate design solutions experientially, socially, and technically

Junior Student Scholarship ($5,000)
Less than half required units completed
Potential for Design excellence displayed

Technology and Innovation in Interior Design ($5,000)
Open to all students
Illustrate ideas or integration of technology and design innovation

Social Relevance in Interior Design ($5,000)
Open to all students
Addresses soluatino to significant social or cultural issue

Eligibility: Undergraduate Interior Design students actively enrolled in a design program at a Southern California school or Univeristy. Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher, and must be an IIDA student member (can apply for membership with scholarship application).
