The IDEX California deadline is August 1, 2016 Are you still sitting on the fence? |
This is for designers who have taken a national interior design examination but still don’t have the professional legal recognition in California that you desire.
Did you know that anyone can call themselves an “interior designer” or any iteration of that title by adding commercial or residential to it? Yes, even a cute little dog, cat, bird or fish can call themselves an interior designer because this term has been upheld by the U.S. courts as free speech under the First Amendment. So, how do you separate yourself from the pack? If you have already passed a national examination like these. . .
. . . then you already meet all of our Path 3 registration and application requirements! Because of this, we’ll give you a $100.00 discount off the application fee (normally $150.00), and all you need to do is send us proof of passage of the examination with your application. No transcripts, resumes, tax return, affidavits’, no other documentation is required! All that remains is for you to take and pass the IDEX California, an online 150 multiple-choice question examination on California Codes and Title 24; Ethics and Business Practices including laws applicable to this state for interior designers; and Design Standards. What could be easier? The exam covers what you do for a living every day here in California! The next testing window is for the entire month of October, and you get to choose the location, day, and time where you want to take the exam. You can get a free study guide, examination blueprint, reference list, and a list of prep class providers along with much more information by clicking here. (however you want to word this, sending them to the IDEX page and the Path 3 application form, etc.) We make it easy for you to get off the fence and become a Certified Interior Designer. |
